The relationship between depression and phentermine is that this drug is known to stimulate a rather adverse mental state in patients and depression is quite a rather rare side effect of this drug. Depression has been documented as a likely outcome though. There are some common side effects related to it that includes constipation, dry mouth and vomiting. However, stopping the intake of phentermine altogether has also resulted in depression in certain patients, but this reaction is mainly possible when the patient concerned has been taking this drug over a long period of time.
