Getting a Prescription

I realise that I have to go and see my PCP to get a prescription for this, but how hard will that be? Is he likely to try and push me into taking another med instead? Like their pill of the week, instead of what I want to try.

Of course it differs doctor to doctor, but I think that a lot of doctors will want to try other things first. I think that they are scared of how addictive Phentermine is, and what needs to happen to keep you from becoming addicted.

So what are the addiction issues, and is there a way to reduce the potential effects? I mean this looks like being one of the most effective diet drugs there is, so I would really like to try it.
