I know that it helps the person to lose weight because my doctor told me but he wasn't exactly a fountain of information. What does phentermine actually do? Is it just like a diet pill?

Phentermine is essentially an appetite suppressant. It will help you lose weight if you pair Phentermine with regular exercise and a nutritious diet, but it won't help you lose weight if you don't change your lifestyle.
