When taking phentermine, do you just follow your own diet and exercise plan? Or is it better to be under the supervision of a dietician whilst you do it?

I am sure that an ideal situation would include a dietician, but unfortunately I just don't have that kind of money. I stick to my own diet and exercise plans that I put together myself, with a little help from the internet.

Sometimes you can find good recipes online that will help you to limit the intake of certain foods (for me its cakes and anything pasta). A dietician might cost a little money, but there are also some places setup that you can ask a question for a quick hint, rather than spend at on a personal helper.

I realise that a dietician is rather expensive, but would it not be covered by insurance? Most companies are willing to make that outlay with the hope of saving more money down the road when they are not paying for you to recover from a heart attack, or have bypass surgery.

That's a good point Lbs, I don't know if a dietician is covered by insurance because it's not something that I have personally looked into. It makes me wonder though. . .

As far as I know, my insurance will not pay for a dietician. They really only want to pay for what is necessary, they're not one to pay for all the precautions.

My insurance doesn't cover a dietician. I'm a bit stubborn though, I think there is so much available on the internet there is no excuse for not knowing how portions and food groups work. My problem is that I've been deliberately ignoring it for 15 years.

I called my insurance company, and they claimed that they do not cover a dietician unless it's under very extreme circumstances. I'm pretty sure that the internet can be a great resource for those who cannot afford it.

I agree that there is a huge amount out there-you just have to want to use and find it. Without that you'll carry on doing what you do now.
The big thing with having a dietician is the accountability. You have someone checking on you, and telling you off when you fail to do what you are supposed to be doing. |

That's a good point. A dietician can help you in areas where research won't do. For people like me that can't afford a dietician however, maybe just getting a work out body will help?
