Once you have lost a good chunk of weight using phentermine, and you come off the drug, how do you maintain the weight loss? I would not like to think that all that I am doing could be for nothing.

From years of trying different diets and their programs one thing I have learned is that you have to continue the good habits for the rest of your life. When the program is over or the special food stops being delivered, if we go back to eating like we did then it is as if we did nothing at all.
I am curious if being off of it will leave me putting weight back on more easily if I do veer off course. |

Well, I would look at using Phentermine as if it was going to help me change my life, not just in the weight loss area. Think about it as a start, or a push in the right direction. You just have to be careful about sticking with the new habits that you earned while using Phentermine when you are off it.

Well, it's pretty much up to you whether or not the weight stays off, at least for the most part. Ultimately, you have to keep up with a healthy diet and with getting enough exercise.

Yes this is true and I realise that. But that said, if I was capable of doing that, I wouldn't be in a position to need phentermine in the first place.

Good point. I've been wondering if our appetite comes back full-force after we go off of it. Theoretically, will our bodies have "learned" how much it needs and simply keep a normal size appetite?

Well, the appetite suppressant will enable you to stop eating as much, and when you get off Phentermine, your stomach will be accustomed to the portions you were eating while you were using Phentermine, at least I think that works in theory.

But since the drug suppresses appetite only, when you are off it you are likely to experience a return of appetite. Even with a smaller stomach you could go back to over eating by having a massive appetite.
How can you deal with that? |

I wish that I could help you with that, LbsToLose, I just don't know to that depth the answer that you're looking for. Maybe you could shoot your question to a medical professional?

I guess I will have to! It's a problem that I have dealt with life long-I am just concerned that with only being able to be on phentermine for six months that I will just end up back where I started.
If I could be on it for life, I'd be good! |
