With many things in life I find that I need to be held accountable to someone for me to succeed in something. I imagine that weight loss will be no different.
Do forums such as these give you sufficient accountability to succeed? |

Forums have worked better for me than the support groups offline. I wasn't comfortable talking face to face. I don't want to be looked at or put on the spot. I know I'm honest on forums and I can think through the replies before I speak. "Chew on it", so to speak.

I would say that an online environment such as this one has been more helpful to me than having a support group "in real life". I don't like to talk face to face, I'm shy about my weight issues. All in all, I really feel that it does help me feel more accountable, and it encourages me more than anything.
