It's good to hear that she's coming off the meds smoothly. That's what's best for the baby, of course, and I'm hoping that she's not too stressed out by her worries. That's a stressful enough time already.

You really do have to put weight concerns aside when pregnant. Sure you can be careful and so not gain 60lbs in a month, but you have to expect some weight gain.

Yea since when you dont gain weight that easy people tend to look at you funny and tell you they think your not eating. I had a friend with that issue before not fun at all. Good that your buddie was able to pop off without withdrawl issues, I hate those the most with any meds I take.

I got pregnant about the same time that I started taking Phentermine the first time around. I stopped the day we found out and called the doctor. He said, "Oh that happens a lot here, the baby will be fine just come see us when you are ready to lose the baby weight." I was six weeks preggers with twins. I had a healthy/non-eventful pregnancy and both boys are as healthy as horses.

I was worried about blowing up like a balloon as soon as I went off the pills. The OB put me on protien shakes b/c I wasn't gaining weight fast enough. I couldn't stand eating sweets the whole time I was pregnant. Of course the Boost shakes, midnight PB&J sandwiches and swelling got me in the end.
