I have yet to start taking this so I cannot review, but I was hoping that those that do use it could share this info. How much did you lose and how quickly?

I dont think I have really lost a great deal too quickly otherwise my doctor would worry. I know many people that had that issue and ended up being taken off the med's then the weight just comes back.

I have been on and off of the medication for about 18 months now and I have lost 50 lbs total. At first I lost about 10 lbs and then after that it was about 3-5 a month. Some months I would lose more and some months I would stay the same (which was fine with me as long as I wasn't gaining). I had to figure out that if I ate too little my body would get used to that and after a while it would take less calories to lose so I started making sure that I was eating (even if I wasn't hungry) and the weight would still come off because I was decreasing my calories gradually instead of all at once. Good luck!

The first time I took Phentermine I lost 26 lbs in 5 weeks. But I was on a STRICT diet of lean protien and salads and working out every day. My DH's company was having a convention I was avid I was going to lose all my weight. Then we found out we were pregnant. I've been back on it for 2.5 months and I've lost 28 lbs. I'm not as strict on the diet and instead of working out every day I'm chasing around twin boys.

I started mid-July and stopped right before Thanksgiving and lost 35 pounds. I had no problems at all and I want to start again but I was going to a clinic - not my primary physician. The clinic just got too expensive...every week weighing in -$$$ - prescriptions - $ - bloodwork every several weeks - $$$.

Well I just joined this site today and trying to read and reply to everyone that
I think I can help. I have by no mean hit my weight loss goal but really trying. As far as how much weight loss that can be expected all depends on the person. If you take the pill everyday aand don't change your lifestyle than I think you will still lose some weight but not much and if you stop taking than you will just gain it back. So it really boils down to deep desire. I my have been taking Phentermine 37.5mg for 3months as of 7/31 and I went to the doctor on 8/3 and my total weight was 61lbs and that was after lunch. I have not started any excersize of any kind due to the lack of lung capacity, but that will start this month and I'm not talking about the gym. I just want to play with my children. So I believe that there is not limit to what you can do, just due it. If I would have jumped in to the excersize program I may have lose more weight or I may have said forget this it to hard on me and never keeped going. So just take it slow and make a lifestyle change not just a diet pill program and you WILL LOSE ALL YOU WANT. I had to remind myself that it took me 15 year to build this body and I'm not going to lose it over night. But my avg weight lose now is 2 to 5lb every week. |
