I have not been using this product for very long. My doctor stated its best to wait over a month or two and see if I have any reactions to it (I am known to be allergic to many things). Right now its been about three weeks and so far its all been good and I can tell its doing its job which has been the first thing that has really helped me so far with this battle.

It's the same for me, pretty much. It's been a month and a week, and so far so good. I haven't had any allergic reactions, and that's something I was pretty worried about. Good luck!

I have the same issue of being allergic to just about anything I touch so that crossed my mind as well just like any other med I would end up taking. I am truly surprised I have had no reactions for anything so far, which always makes me hesitant for anything.

Yeah, I'm allergic to most medications that you can be allergic to, and I was hesitant to try out Phentermine. So far, so good though.

I'm just curious as to whether or not your doctor approved of you taking Phentermine, knowing about the allergies? I've heard that you have to be extra careful about taking it if you have allergies. Since you've gone so long without a reaction, though, it must be fine.

My doctor said the same, although I have never had any allergy problems. He said that it is just a precaution since it is a new medication and I might get a reaction. I have only just started taking Phentermine so we'll see how it goes

Jess, most of my allergies are all sinus related somehow or another (pollen, hay fever, etc.) if its a medication its mostly things like Ibuprofen or some types (of heavier) pain killers. I did not have any worries from the doctor, but he just wanted to make sure I was ready to take this step, as it seems many doctors will just Rx one thing or another, this doctor is a keeper for sure, very sweet and doesnt rush things.

It does seem like doctors are always in a hurry to prescribe medicines, you have to make sure that you get a keeper and choose wisely sometimes.

I agree, doctors are normal people, like us, who make mistakes with prescriptions.
That leads me to my next question - I am wondering if anybody here has decided to stop taking Phentermine? What pushed you over the edge to stop taking it? How long were you taking it before you stopped? |

I don't know of many that have stopped taking it, I figure I am going to see how well the entire process goes before I know for sure if its something I need full time or not. I'm not keen on taking many meds for long times as I don't want to become immune to them.
